Express Lube Service to Open at
Historic Olivera's Garage in Buellton
Project Will Be Included in the Avenue of Flags Revitalization
For the past couple of years Emmet Hickey, owner of Olivera's Garage in Buellton, has been working on bringing his dream of an Express Lube business to life. "We had delays with the county, issues with ADA compliance, the old gas tanks had to be removed, there were financing delays," says Leah Hickey who works for her dad in Olivera's office.

Emmet explains that the City of Buellton was the easiest of them all to work with. "When Buellton asked us to modify our plans slightly to meet with their Avenue of the Flags urban revitalization project we were able to do it without much additional cost," Emmet said. The garage and the Express Lube businesses will be painted in matching colors of a dusky red and golden hue with brown awnings.

If construction proceeds as planned, the Express Lube will open in December. It will be open seven days a week and provide quick oil changes which include tire rotation, lube, filter change and a general look-over of the auto, checking belts and hoses, tire pressure and brake lights with each service. No appointment is needed. There are two service docks and a dock to accommodate the larger 4x4 diesels and motor homes.
