Ericka Batastini and D. J. Dunn
Donald and Yvonne Batastini of Solvang announce the engagement of their daughter Ericka to D.J. Dunn. Ericka graduated from Santa Ynez High School and Santa Barbara Business College, and is employed by Vela Insurance Services in Santa Ynez. D.J. is the son of Marcia Dunn of Buellton. He graduated from Santa Ynez High School and is employed by JBR Construction. The couple will marry on July 17, 2004 at the Willemsen's Dairy in Buellton. They will reside in Solvang. |

Ashlee Madrid and Jimmy Palacios
were married on August 23, 2003 in double ceremony; the first at Mission Santa Inez and second at Willemsen's Dairy. Ashlee is the daughter of longtime Valley resident Glenda (Jaeger) Madrid and John Madrid of Vista, California. She graduated from Santa Ynez Valley High in 2000 and is now a senior at CalPoly, San Luis Obispo. Jimmy is a life-long resident of the Valley, and son of Ana and Jaime Palacios of Buellton. He graduated from Santa Ynez Valley High School in 1997, and attended the Culinary Arts Program at Santa Barbara City College. He is now an Instructor at Santa Ynez Valley High for the ROP Restaurant class. The wedding was attended by 250 family members and friends, and beautifully combined the bride and groom's cultures and lifestyles. |

Meighan Jackson and Jaime Dietenhofer
were married on June 28, 2003 at Bethania Lutheran Church in Solvang, with a reception following at the home of the groom's parents in Los Olivos. The wedding was attended by 220 friends and family. Meighan, a third-generation Valley resident, is the daughter of Ruth Jackson of Santa Ynez and granddaughter of the late Magda and Andy Iversen of Solvang. She graduated in 1995 from Santa Ynez Valley High, with a B.S. in biology from the University of Puget Sound in Washington, and with a Master's in water resource management from UCSB. Jaime, who grew up in the Valley, is the son of Judie and Jim Dietenhofer of Los Olivos. He graduated in 1995 from Santa Ynez Valley High, with a B.A. in politics and environmental studies from Whitman College in Washington, and with a Master's in economics and management from UCSB. |
