Reka Badger pens a bi-monthly gardening column
for the Santa Barbara News-Press and has been
published in Savor and Santa Barbara Magazine. She
and her husband, a woodworker, have lived in Los
Alamos for fifteen years.
Christine Beebe is a freelance writer and
editor of the Women's Environmental Watch
Newsletter. She has served on the boards of The
Family School, Direct Link for the Disabled, and
W.E. Watch. A Valley resident for 12 years, she
lives in Solvang with her husband and two teenage
daughters.
Brooke Comer grew up in the Santa Ynez
Valley. She has written for the New York Times, Los
Angeles Times, Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly,
Glamour, and Playboy. The author of The Secret
